I have the opportunity to purchase a G38 (prior G37 owner)and am wondering if G19 and G23 slides (have good deal on these too) will fit and function on the G38 frame. Of course I would use caliber correct mags. Right now, in my neck of the woods, 9mm and 40S&W is easier to come by than 45 GAP.An OEM G44 slide works equally well. It functions exactly like a G44 with a G19.5 trigger. The G44 and G19.5 frames are identical. The locking block is in the exact same location.
