The host tether distance is stuck to 180m, which is ridiculous, i have changed the multiplier in the settings ans yet its still 180m, is this a glitch or is there another setting i'm missing? ... Pretty sure you can't change tether distance. However, if his pc is beefy enough, have him look at ark server manager. It will allow him to host the game on his pc, then you two can join that session. There will be no tether distance. If the pc isn't beefy, you next option is to look into renting a server for a monthly fee.

This has to be a deliberate decision on the game developer's part. Give us back the option to increase tether distance. If it's too much for our computer, then so be it, we will have to change it back. You can increase further then the slider allows by entering a number instead. Water and caves mess with the tether distance. I just posted a guide. You can add a line to your Enging.ini file to fix the FoV on 32:9 ! It will look a lot better. The weapons won't take up so much of the screen.
