Im starting Animate Weapon this league, that was exactly my train of thought while deciding on Necro or give the new Guardian a chance. With Necro you have 1,5min duration and the cast speed from the ascendancy is not bad, even without Unleash. You need to summon them twice per map and that's it, which is probably way less than SRS.
