The "s" means stitched wad, that is the wad is connected at the top of the slits. Supposed to break apart upon firing. Its main purpose is to ease feeding of the wad on some reloading machines. It's interesting that the guide has a correction taped over the 3" 20 load data. The old DuPont data for short 1 1/8 oz. 20 ga. loads all use 4756.

I have reloaded thousands of 20 gauge shells using Universal, Unique, and Longshot. Longshot is dirtier burning than the other two but it is a slower burning magnum powder. It was my powder of choice for 1 ounce loads or fast 7/8 ounce loads.
