Then unscrew and remove the hammer assy from the rear, then remove the nipple (assuming #11 ignition) and plug. Clean and dry everything thoroughly and you should be fine.
There are several conversions available for the Knight rifle. That is one of the beauties of the rifle. It really just depends on which conversion you want. I have a Musket cap conversion, the red disc conversion, and the 209 primer conversion. They were rated to 120 grains of loose FFg powder since it was before the 209 ignition. The MK-85 was also considered one of the best Knight rifles made. They were know for their accuracy and dependability. Yours being a stainless steel model makes it only that much better.

The 209 conversion I have for my mk's is a 209 plunger, and a 209 breechplug (that accepts the red disc w/209). Depends on who you talk to whether they prefer #11's or 209's. I've converted both with the Knight kits to the 209 red primer. My only advise would be if you find the conversion kit for sale, buy it then. I found several kits when I first searched, waited a bit, and they had sold out. Took several months to get back in stock.
