In the fall of 1974, after a successful Apple Harvest Festival, the idea of a park was introduced. The park officially established in 1975 and has expanded ever since then. The park is funded by donations only. Each year, the Jaycees donate 50% of the proceeds from the festival to keep the park maintained and beautiful for all of its visitors.
