What I was surprised about -and have tested over the past 12 months is that eyesight (meaning lane guide and speed control), when engaged, will often suddenly just turn off (with a warning bell) and then resume some moments later. This happens most often on highway turns and most often when the road lines are faded or non-existent.
You should be able to turn off adaptive cruise control and use regular cruise with eyesight disabled. We’ve had our 2023 ASCENT for only 2 months and EYESIGHT has failed us. We took it back to the dealership and they supposedly recalibrated everything and updated the software and possibly the firmware. It failed again while driving it home from the dealership, and after 10 days we took it back.
