Bannerlord start own kingdom.
There's a couple things you need to do first. 1 is make sure you have a govener lined up (must be same faction) because the town is going to be in rough shape after the siege. 2 is make friends with all surrounding factions. 3 is set up caravans ASAP to help your town grow. Here's what I did.

increase relations with lords. try to ensure you have people that may join you. (the clan you married/etc) money (idk a #, but a lot) because you are going to likely be in debt for a while. have a bunch of clan members leading armies so you can take their troops and stack a castle immediately after capturing. This massively multiplay...Depends what you call a civil war. Actual civil war in a faction is you leaving the faction with all your holdings and creating your kingdom of the same culture. I don't think you can take over the OG faction that way. To change kings, they must die by any means.
