By full water cleaning I assume you mean the globe? I had a similar story until I noticed a bunch of gross moldy spots inside the base where the insides are exposed to the dirty litter. Once I deep cleaned that, it got noticeably better. This is something the LR4 improves on I think, as the drawer area isn't open to such a large interior area.
