It seems the only significant difference between the G42 and the P365 is as you pointed out, the weight difference 11x9mm is a lot more weight than 7x380 (and a lot more fire power) and the width at the butt of the grip (which does matter to me as it pertains to concealability).

The P365 is virtually the same length and height as the Glock 42. The grip is about a tenth of an inch wider. In 9mm, the original P365 is a handful. It’s not horrible to shoot for 50 or 100 rounds, but it is objectively a snappy gun.

Mar 23, 2023 · The reason why I didn't go with the P365 380 is because of reports of teething problems, and I'm not particularly a fan of Nu-Sig or their ex-Kimber CEO. Well, the Glock 42 has had more teething problems than the P365....so that's not really a good reason to knock the P365 out of the running.

The weight of a Glock 42 with an empty magazine is 13.76 ounces (390 grams; Glock's website has a typo listing it as 1 2 .76 ounces / 390 grams). That's a 1.94 ounce (55 gram) difference.
