Just get 16 Strength, 10 Dexterity, and a bare minimum of 40 Intelligence and enjoy yourself. The issue with Darkmoon Blade, and buffs in general, is that they are super easy to wait out, especially DMB due to Crest Shield. It still can be used but if it is the bulk of your damage, I wouldn't recommend it then.
The Dark Moon Greatsword on the other hand is much more modest in its damage output comparatively, but that damage is VERY solid. This is kicked up a gear when the sword is buffed, allowing of course for the sword beams which are great when you aren't directly able to engage with an enemy for a bit, and a good amount more damage.DarkMoon Knight! I struggled with an Int build using moonveil or darkmoon great sword. Just couldn't out dps her heals as im terrible at dodging and blocking. Respecced to arcane/dex with RoB +9 and breezed through phase 1 with mimic +10. Phase 2 I got her down 50% quickly, cleared rot buildup when she did her blossom move and took her down spamming the weapon art.
