The WR starts one push of the button no matter what temp, elevation, or if it’s been dropped, whereas I had a lot of carb trouble with my old DRZ in the 3 years I’ve owned it. Loved everything else about the bike though. So that brings me to Lectron with how they automatically adjust for all that with their metering rods.

This is nice on the cr250 and through the woods. However, my bike before was an absolute animal before with the Keihin and the needle/jetting it had in it (tunable characterics). It was a lightswitch monster.The effect of altitude on carb performance is vastly exaggerated. My drz has an FCR39 (no choke). I live at 2000 ft and my trail rides take me routinely beyond 7500ft.
