But for the neutral thing, sometimes, you just have to roll the bike a smidge or just releaase the clutch slightly for the gear to engage - thats not a problem and is normal. On this forum alone, if you search "oil" you will get over 160 thread results. Some people swear by full synthetic, some swear by sticking to dino oil and changing more often, and everything in between. Personally, I put full syn into my 750 this last time but ran 15-40W dino oil through the SV for its whole lifespan which was mostly racing.

Give a call or email Ohlins support and find out what their recommendations are for that kit (oil brand/weight/height). Stock the fork comes with Suzuki/Kayaba L01 oil, which is rated as 5wt (even though one brand's 5wt and another might be very different in actual viscosity).
