Both. Personally, neither. Daeran is an excellent buffer and support character. And animate dead user. He doesn't have time to try to damage enemies. Dependant on difficulty, of course. And Ember's a witch. While she can for sure contribute damage, there are better spell caster options. She's a witch and an amazing buffer / debuffer.
