There is no "rust issues" with the P365 magazines anymore than any other carbon steel magazine, frame or slide, even on very high end guns.

Quite a few extraction and/or ejection failures were reported with the very early releases of the P365, but many maintained that SIG had corrected this problem with a redesign of the recoil spring assembly. But I have continued to hear of such problems, albeit with less frequency, in pistols ...P365-380 So many issues for me. I bought a new p365 380 from a local shop less than a month ago. I read about all the issues with the early 365s with failure to return to battery and light primer strikes etc, and it seemed like most of the newer models were ok based on reviews. So I gave it a try.

"Spontaneous Discharges" are a myth born of attempts to conceal a Negligent Discharge and shift liability from the bozo who tried to holster his gun with his finger on the trigger, or allowed/had something inside the trigger guard that activated/pressed the trigger. Field stripping didn’t require me to pull the trigger first (a selling point for safety) and came intuitively. Putting it back together took a couple of seconds longer, but no issues. SIG had a bad run of them early in P365 production but that problem was licked a long time ago. The new striker will have a stronger, beveled tip on it and should last you many thousands of rounds.
