I struggled with Malenia for a long time as a mage build. Ultimately respec’d to add some strength, stamina, and dexterity (still with high intelligence) and used a great sword with frost buildup. If using mimic tear, then you can develop a rhythm on powering up your sword and hitting her to interrupt her attacks.
